Studying music theory helps all music students improve musical retention and sight-reading skills and increase artistry and musical interpretation. Ultimate Music Theory classes are suitable for students studying any instrument, including voice. Classes are available for each level, from beginner to advanced. Non-beginners will take a placement exam to determine their correct level.
Classes provide a non-competitive learning environment that includes fun games and activities, as well as music theory rudiments, history, and some composition, incorporating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles.
Classes are small, limited to ten students and are available for both children and adults. Classes meet weekly, in-person or online.
Students who go through the Ultimate Music Theory program are prepared to do well on recognized, national exams (though taking the exams is optional.)
